Daido Steel Co., Ltd (CEO: Tetsuya Shimizu) signed in support of ‘United Nations Global Compact’（UNGC）, a global initiative advocated by the United Nations to achieve sustainable growth. In July 2023, Daido joined ‘Global Compact Network Japan’ (GCNJ), an organization that carries out the philosophy and mission of UNGC in Japan.
UNGC is the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative for the United Nations and the private sector (companies and organizations) to join hands to build a healthy global society.
Daido Group supports the 10 principles advocated by the UNGC in the four areas of "human rights," "labor," "environment" and "anti-corruption" and will promote initiatives to realize them.
